DSCR
Digital Social Care Records
Also known as: digital social care records, digital care records
An NHS England programme encouraging adult social care providers to move from paper to digital care record systems that meet a defined set of standards.
Digital Social Care Records (DSCR) is an NHS England programme that encourages adult social care providers to replace paper care records with digital care record systems meeting a defined set of standards.
Suppliers that meet the standards can appear on an assured supplier list, which some integrated care systems and funders look for. Being on the list is a status held by a software supplier, not a certification of any individual care home, and not every capable system is on it.
Why it matters for care homes
Whether a chosen system is on the assured supplier list can affect eligibility for some NHS-linked funding and integration. It is worth checking a supplier's current status directly rather than assuming it.
